For several years, I have had the privilege of managing and scaling the email ecosystem for domli uk, an exceptional British brand dedicated to creating responsibly sourced, beautifully designed furniture. Because our partnership is long-term and ongoing, my role has evolved beyond standard broadcast emails; I work as a core growth partner, embedding their deep commitment to sustainability directly into the inbox of thousands of UK homes.
When domli underwent a major visual brand evolution, I seamlessly attuned to their new design philosophy. I updated all automated retention flows and regular newsletters to reflect their sophisticated new look—blending warm, earthy tones (terracotta, forest green, and soft lavender) with a clean, high-end editorial structure.
The Strategy: Purpose-Driven Content That Converts
The secret to domli’s exceptional subscriber engagement isn't just showing beautiful furniture; it’s about making the customer feel like an active participant in a larger environmental mission. We built this community through three pillars:
UGC & "In The Wild" Campaigns: Instead of relying solely on studio photography, I designed highly successful "domli in the wild" features. These emails showcase real customer setups, styling tips, and authentic community spaces, turning raw user-generated content into an aspirational, high-converting lookbook.

To make this impact real for subscribers, I crafted dedicated community newsletters featuring regular updates on our global giving initiatives. By integrating transparent data from Ecologi and highlighting direct donations to the UK Nature Fund, we transformed promotional space into proof of environmental impact.
Interactive Community Building: We drove list growth and brand affinity by running high-value competitions (such as a recent £500 workspace voucher giveaway) and telling the stories of the winners, reinforcing that domli is a brand that actively gives back.
